DALAI LAMA - INDEPENDENCE
THE DALAI LAMA
by Tsoltim N. ShakabpaBorn a village boy
Crowned a God king
He is an ocean of wisdom
A universe of compassion
And a plethora of modesty
He laughs like a little boy
Discourses like a philosopher
He carries on his shoulders
Not a cross
But the burden of a people
Robbed of their land
To some He is God
To others he is a prophet
To himself he is a simple monk

INDEPENDENCE
By Tsoltim N. ShakabpaAs I am dependent upon me
So too
Tibet should be dependent upon Tibetans
As I am the government of me
So too
Tibetans should be the government of Tibet
Independence
Is not negotiable
